Custom Made Jewellery

Our custom made jewellery is hand crafted to each customer’s specification, resulting in a product that is unique and bespoke. All our in-house made items are hallmarked in Birmingham with the WCG hallmark.

Official hallmarking is the trusted way to guarantee that you are getting the correct purity of precious metals in your jewellery. Remember only UK Government Assay Offices can apply a hallmark.

Recent Repair

Here is an example of a repair that was recently taken in by West Country Goldsmiths. The repair to this ring takes great care and precision to perform. A laser company would be inclined to refuse this type of work, due to the risks involved. The risks involved are from scattering the light from the laser beam and the risk of missing the weld and hitting the stone.

West Country Goldsmiths use the Lampert PUK welder and these risks are not encountered with using this type of welder. We have over seven years working experience with this type of welder and we are happy to undertake all kinds of delicate repairs.

In the pictures you will see two stones missing that were replaced. There was also a section of gold missing on the bezel of the centre stone. This had to be built up using gold wire and welding it onto the ring. The bezel was then blended in to match.
